CGT Heavy Equipment Ltd. ("CGT", "we", "us") operates cgtheavyequipment.ca. This page explains what personal information we collect and what we do with it. It is written in plain English on purpose.
What we collect
When you send a message through any form on this site (contact, transportation, financing, sell/consign, or a listing inquiry), we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number (if you provide one)
- The message you type and any equipment details or photos you attach
- Which page you sent it from and the time you sent it
We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics on this site.
Why we collect it
We use your information for one thing: to reply to your inquiry about buying, selling, shipping, or financing heavy equipment. We do not sell your information, rent it, or share it with unrelated third parties for marketing.
Who we share it with
Your submission is stored in our database (hosted by Supabase / Lovable Cloud) and a notification email is sent to Craig through Lovable's email delivery service. These providers process the data on our behalf and do not use it for their own purposes. If your inquiry requires shipping quotes or lender introductions, Craig may share the relevant details with the carrier or lender you need to be connected with, and only with your knowledge.
How long we keep it
We keep submissions as long as they may be useful for an active or repeat customer relationship, and delete them on request.
Your rights (PIPEDA)
Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you may ask us to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To make a request, email craig@cgtheavyequipment.com or call 1-780-497-1830.
Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in a database with row-level access controls. Only Craig can view submissions. That said, no online system is 100% secure — please do not send information you would not be comfortable emailing.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect any change.
